Duties to include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting adults with a range of care and support needs
  • Showing understanding of person-centred care, dignity, choice, independence, and safeguarding
  • Following care plans, risk assessments, and organisational policies
  • Communicating effectively with service users, families, and multidisciplinary professionals
  • Working independently and as part of a team
  • Mentoring, supervising and leading shifts
  • Supporting colleagues
  • Developing on leadership skills
  • Maintaining care records with IT systems

Your training

  • Apprenticeship Standard: Level 5 Lead in Adult Care
  • You will be required to attend St Austell College a day a week as part of your apprenticeship training
  • You will receive on and off-the-job training and support from an assessor and an Apprenticeship advisor

Where it leads

  • You may wish to progress to a Deputy Manager or Registered Care Manager role

Applicants should have previous experience working in care and be able to evidence this within their application. Ideally applicants should have previous experience within management.

Applicants will need to be able to drive and have their own vehicle.
