Business Support provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Youth Justice Service (YJS), ensuring the effective coordination of meetings, panels and court-related processes.
The role demands exceptional organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to absorb, retain and accurately manage large volumes of complex and sensitive information from a variety of sources.
Working with highly confidential information, the post holder must demonstrate professionalism, discretion and sound judgement at all times. This is a fast-paced and challenging role that requires the ability to effectively prioritise and manage a diverse workload, often balancing competing demands and tight deadlines, while consistently maintaining high standards of accuracy, efficiency and customer service.
Working in a fast-paced environment, you will help ensure that important information reaches the right professionals at the right time, supporting timely decision-making and interventions that help keep children safe.
- Arrange, organise and support Youth Justice panel meetings, ensuring all relevant documentation is prepared and distributed in a timely manner
- Coordinate and administer reparation sessions, liaising with staff and partner agencies as required
- Organise Out of Court Referral Panels, including preparing documents, scheduling and correct recording
- Prepare documentation for court appearances and accurately record and process court outcomes
- Manage diaries, appointments and meeting schedules for the service
- Record and interpret arrest documentations
Your training
- This apprenticeship will provide you with the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship
- Training will be delivered by Heart of England Training

Where it leads
This is a fixed term for 18 months, however this can lead to a permanent position depending on course completion and performance.
