You will be required to:

  • To study and learn about the early year’s foundation stage children’s learning and development
  • To work alongside a qualified keyworker and assist her in her daily routine with her group
  • Promoting the development of children with stimulating and engaging activities
  • Assist with snack and mealtimes
  • To observe and record development
  • Help to provide a clean and safe environment

Your training

Early Years Practitioner Level 2 Standard portfolio of evidence of:

  • Knowledge
  • Skills
  • Behaviours

The End Point Assessment (EPA) consists of two distinct assessment methods:

  • Professional discussion supported by portfolio of evidence
  • Knowledge exam

 

Working towards Functional Skills English and maths at level 1 and 2 if required. This will be one day a week for 6 weeks for each subject with an exam at the end. 

Paediatric first aid and safeguarding training.

Where it leads

We are looking for an early year’s apprentice to study NVQ Level 2 and on successful completion of level 2, we would offer continued employment to study for Level 3.

Level 3 is the requirement for a Group Leader. If Level 3 is completed successfully, we would be able to offer permanent employment as a Group Leader.
