Are you practical, driven, and looking to kickstart a rewarding career? We are a major M&E contractor with a strong pipeline of exciting projects across the Oxford region. We are looking for the next generation of talent to join our team as an Electrical Apprentice.
This is a fantastic opportunity, gaining hands-on experience on large-scale commercial and industrial projects while working toward a fully recognised qualification.
What You’ll Do:
As an Electrical Apprentice, you will work alongside our team of fully qualified, experienced electricians. Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Installing electrical systems, wiring, conduit, and containment.
- Assisting with testing, inspecting, and maintaining electrical installations.
- Learning to read and interpret technical blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Ensuring all work complies with current regulations.
- Attending college/training modules reliably to complete your qualifications.
Your training
Delivery model:
- Work-based training with your employer
- Day release during term time (approximately 1 day per week for 36 months)
- Regular meetings with your training coordinator to monitor progress and well-being
- Approximately 4 on-site visits per year
- Apprentices will need to complete a minimum of 1066 hours of off-the-job training during their apprenticeship
Qualifications included:
- City & Guilds Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification
End Point Assessment:
- AM2s
- Safe Isolation & Risk Assessment
- Composite Installation
- Inspection, Testing and Certification
- Fault Diagnosis and Rectification
- Applied Knowledge Test
