We are looking for a candidate who has recently completed or is coming to the end of their course in Fabrication & Welding Level 2, who would join us and partake in a 42-month apprenticeship.

The role is challenging but rewarding and because our work is so diverse you would be able to hold your own at any other work-related company.

Your skills will be multiplied as you have to be able to work with so many different materials and within so many different industry sectors.

The role will include:

  • Reading engineering drawings
  • Fabricating sheet metal
  • Learning to use forming, welding and dressing techniques

Your training

  • The successful candidate will complete Level 3 Metal Fabricator Apprenticeship Standard
  • 4-days per week in the workplace with a visit once a month from college trainer coach, and 1-day per week at East Durham College

Where it leads

Possibility of permanent employment and going on to complete further qualifications.
