The role is varied and will involve both installation and maintenance work, and duties will include:

  • Carrying out 1st and 2nd fix for installation of intruder alarms, CCTV, access control and also fire safety systems (pulling cables through and affixing equipment to walls, etc.)
  • Use of hand tools & cordless drill
  • Attending routine maintenance and service calls
  • Fault finding and commissioning systems
  • Completion of site paperwork
  • Working to company procedures and following all health & safety guidelines

Your training

  • You will attend Access Training (Team Valley, Gateshead) for day release - 1 day per week/fortnight and be enrolled on the Fire, Emergency and Security Systems Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard

  • The role will develop over time, and there is the possibility of securing a company vehicle in the future for the right candidate
