Access Hire Nationwide, part of Kelling Group, is one of the UK's leading providers of vehicle-mounted access platforms and specialist hire equipment.
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who have a genuine interest in vehicle maintenance and repair to join our workshop team as an Apprentice Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Technician.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience whilst working towards a nationally recognised Level 2 Autocare Technician qualification. You'll learn from experienced technicians, develop practical skills in a busy workshop environment and build the foundations for a long-term career within the automotive industry.
What You'll Learn:
During your apprenticeship you will gain experience in:
- Vehicle servicing and routine maintenance.
- Mechanical and electrical diagnostics.
- Braking, steering and suspension systems.
- Battery and charging systems.
- Vehicle inspections and safety checks.
- Tyre repair and replacement procedures.
- Workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Vehicle documentation and service records.
- Stock management and parts control.
- Customer service and communication skills.
- Health, safety and environmental best practice.
- Emerging vehicle technologies including hybrid and electric vehicle awareness
Your training
You will attend Castleford College on a day release basis alongside regular on-site assessor visits.
Where it leads
Clear progression opportunities within Kelling Group upon successful completion of your apprenticeship.
LCV Technician and further education to level 3 if/when available.
