  • Follow a schedule to test and maintain all heating, ventilation and water systems correcting any faults you may find
  • Read and understand engineering drawings
  • Use the Building Management System to control and monitor the electrical, heating and ventilation systems
  • Use small hand tools such as hammers, saws, screwdrivers etc.
  • Implement essential safety procedures before working on systems
  • Assist with minor electrical maintenance
  • Work with other trades and gain experience from their knowledge
  • Develop strong customer service and client relationship building skills

Your training

  • You will attend college to complete the Building Services Engineer Service and Maintenance Level 3 Apprenticeship
  • In addition, you will regularly attend in house training and development as part of the programme
