As an apprentice you will work alongside experienced team members, learning:
- To prepare vehicles and surfaces
- Remove and apply vinyl graphics
- Decals and vehicle liveries
- Assist with vehicle wrapping.
You will also help to:
- Produce signs and graphics
- Operate cutting and printing equipment
- Prepare artwork using design software
- Assist with installations
You will learn to work safely, maintain quality standards and complete jobs from preparation through to finishing.
Your training
The apprentice will complete a Level 3 Signage Technician Apprenticeship, gaining practical skills and knowledge in vehicle graphics, sign making, vinyl application, digital printing, artwork and installation. Training will combine workplace learning at Dynamic Vehicle Rental in Wigan with formal off-the-job training delivered by the apprenticeship training provider.
The apprentice will attend a mixture of remote and face to face training on site as agreed in the schedule throughout the apprenticeship and complete the required assessments to achieve the level 3 qualification.
Where it leads
On successful completion of the apprenticeship, the apprentice will have the opportunity to progress into a full-time Signs & Graphics Fitter role with Dynamic Vehicle Rental, subject to performance and business requirements. With experience, they could develop into a senior fitter or specialist in vehicle wrapping, signage, graphics production or artwork/design, with opportunities to take on greater responsibility and progress towards a supervisory or management role.

Things to consider
The role is based primarily in a workshop environment, which can be cold during the winter months. The apprentice will sometimes work on larger Luton vehicles and will be required to work at height using suitable company-provided access equipment and scaffolding, following appropriate training and safety procedures. The role may also involve travelling to customer sites, where access equipment such as a cherry picker may be required for external signage installations.
