Job Requirements:

  • The candidate should have the ability to work in a team as well as carry out their own independent work and bring their own ideas and opinions forward to their peers
  • The successful candidate should have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude towards their work
  • The candidate should have a keen interest in or hands-on experience in the engineering or mechanical manufacturing sector
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision will also be a benefit
  • Welding and metalwork fabrication

Your training

  • The apprentice will work towards their Apprenticeship Standard in Metal Fabricator Level 3
  • The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course
  • This is a day release programme, which means you will attend college 1-day per week, term time only. This will fall within your contracted working hours

Where it leads

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be opportunities to progress into a full-time role within the team.
