  • Assisting with the preparation of building sites, materials, tools and equipment
  • Learning how to lay bricks, blocks and other building materials to construct walls, foundations and other structures
  • Measuring, setting out and interpreting drawings and specifications
  • Mixing mortar and ensuring materials are used safely and efficiently
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment in line with health and safety regulations
  • Working as part of a construction team to complete projects to a high standard

Your training

  • Bricklayer Level 2
  • Practical on-site training with your employer
  • Off-the-job training delivered by the training provider/college
  • Regular reviews and support from your assessor and workplace mentor
  • Functional Skills in English and maths (if required, depending on your existing qualifications)

Things to consider

We are specifically looking for the apprentice to be mobile (own transport) with the ability to travel to sites within our operating area (South & West Dorset & Purbecks/South Somerset even potentially East Devon).
