As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will support the day-to-day running of the school office, helping to ensure pupils, parents, visitors, and staff receive a professional and welcoming service. Alongside your role, you will work towards achieving the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a friendly and professional first point of contact for visitors, parents, pupils,
    and staff.
  • Answer telephone calls and direct enquiries appropriately.
  • Respond to emails and assist with general correspondence.
  • Carry out data entry and maintain accurate school records.
  • File, scan, photocopy, and organise documents.
  • Support the administration of school attendance and pupil records.
  • Assist with arranging meetings and preparing meeting rooms.
  • Help produce letters, newsletters, and other school communications.
  • Order and maintain office supplies.
  • Support school events and activities where required.
  • Ensure confidential information is handled appropriately and in line with GDPR.
  • Carry out other administrative duties as requested by the School Business Manager or Office Team.

Where it leads

Upon successful completion of the Business Administrator apprenticeship, learners may progress into roles such as Business Administrator, Office Administrator, Team Leader, Executive Assistant, or move onto a higher-level apprenticeship, such as a Level 4 qualification, to further develop their career.
