- Provide day-to-day administrative support and help keep office systems organised and up to date
- Welcome visitors to the Exeter hub and respond professionally to telephone, email and general enquiries
- Maintain accurate electronic records, databases, contact lists and internal documents
- Support appointment scheduling, meetings, calendars, room bookings and team coordination
- Prepare correspondence, forms, spreadsheets, presentations, reports and other documents
- Maintain DUA social media channels by preparing, scheduling and publishing regular posts and updates
- Promote events, programmes, community information and opportunities; gather approved text, images and photographs and use DUA templates/Canva where appropriate
- Support the administration and promotion of community programmes, events, workshops and educational activities, including registrations and attendance records
- Assist with basic finance administration such as organising invoices, receipts and expenditure records
- Communicate with community members, partners and other stakeholders in a professional and timely way
- Support monitoring, evaluation and reporting by collecting and organising relevant information
- Take responsibility for small projects or defined pieces of work as skills and confidence develop, and complete apprenticeship learning during paid working hours
Where it leads
On successful completion, the apprenticeship can support progression into roles such as Business Administrator, Operations Administrator, Project Administrator, or Executive Assistant. Where organisational need and funding allow, DUA would be interested in discussing future progression opportunities with a successful apprentice.

Devon Ukrainian Association is a community organisation supporting Ukrainians across Devon while strengthening connections between Ukrainian and British communities. From our Welcome Hub in central Exeter, we deliver community support, education, cultural programmes, events and partnership projects with local authorities, universities and other organisations.
Things to consider
The role is primarily office/community based in central Exeter. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for events, with hours adjusted accordingly. The role involves contact with diverse community members and handling confidential information, so professionalism and discretion are essential.
