  • Undertake general reception duties, making and taking telephone calls, taking messages, face-to-face enquiries, liaising with staff, outside agencies, and visitors/patients
  • Collect payments for non-NHS services
  • Greet and direct patients and visitors
  • Booking appointments
  • Dealing with home visit requests
  • Working on front reception
  • Photocopying
  • Emailing
  • Inputting and extracting information from the practice system
  • Liaising with other NHS services/pharmacies
  • General housekeeping, i.e. keeping the reception and waiting areas tidy
  • Any other reasonable duties as necessary

Your training

  • Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship Standard 
  • Training will be delivered face-to-face, with workshops and 1-2-1 support given

  • It will be varied and interesting, and sometimes challenging
  • The ideal candidate will be someone with a ‘can do’ approach who is able to benefit from the training and support we can provide to develop
  • The possibility to join our team full-time with a chance to progress onto more senior roles in time

Park surgery is a busy local GP practice operating over 3 sites in Middlesbrough with over 12,500 patients. We offer first class patient-centred primary care to Middlesbrough residents.
