Daily duties to include: 

  • Assist with first and second fix carpentry on a variety of projects
  • Support the manufacture and installation of bespoke joinery items
  • Help with kitchen fitting, including units and basic fittings
  • Assist in the installation of staircases under supervision
  • Carry out basic roofing tasks as part of a wider team
  • Support door hanging, including preparing doors and fitting ironmongery
  • Learn to use tools, materials, and techniques safely and correctly
  • Work alongside experienced tradespeople to develop skills and confidence

Your training

  • You will be pursuing a Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard in Carpentry and Joinery, through Weston College
  • As part of this programme, you will attend Weston College once a week, for workshops
  • An assessor will conduct on-site observations to evaluate your progress, as well as supporting you in college throughout your apprenticeship
  • At the conclusion of your programme, your qualification will be assessed through an Apprenticeship Assessment
