- Answering incoming telephone calls and responding to customer enquiries professionally
- Providing first-class customer service to customers, suppliers and colleagues
- Assisting customers with product information and order updates
- Supporting the sales team with customer quotations and order processing
- Building positive relationships with new and existing customers
- Processing invoices and customer paperwork accurately
- Supporting payroll administration and maintaining records
- Assisting with stock checks and monitoring inventory levels
- Helping to place orders for stock when required
- Updating customer records and company databases
- Filing and maintaining accurate documentation
- Handling customer queries and resolving issues where appropriate, escalating when necessary
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure customers receive a high level of service
- Participating fully in apprenticeship training and development activities
Your training
- As well as working towards a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner qualification, you will learn job-specific skills from experienced colleagues
- In addition to a workplace mentor, you will receive support throughout your apprenticeship from a dedicated mentor from the Employment and Skills Team
Where it leads
On successful completion, there may be opportunities to progress onto a Business Administration Level 3 apprenticeship within the company or a job placement.
