  • Content creation - Create clear and engaging written, visual and digital content for internal and external audiences, including blogs, news items, web copy, images, simple video and audio content where appropriate
  • This includes gathering stories from Innovation Connect members and writing community blogs and case studies that showcase activity, achievements and opportunities
  • Website and digital platform updates - Update and maintain Department of Research and Innovation and Innovation Connect web pages, SharePoint pages and other digital platforms, using a range of content management systems and ensuring content is accurate, accessible and up to date
  • Social media and channel support - Prepare, schedule and publish content across approved communication channels, including LinkedIn and other social media platforms,following University tone of voice, accessibility, copyright and brand guidance
  • External engagement activity - Support communications linked to external engagement, including Innovation Connect, KTP activity, sector-focused engagement, business-facing
    opportunities, events, case studies and other externally focused initiatives
  • Event support - Support engagement events by helping with event listings, promotional copy, delegate information, presentation materials, follow-up communications and other related content, working with colleagues including the Research Culture Administrator. In person support may also be required
  • Creative development and media production - Contribute ideas for new approaches,formats and channels, and support the development of creative materials across different
    media, including images, video, audio, printed materials and digital assets
  • Monitoring and reporting - Support basic monitoring and reporting of engagement activity, including web, social media and event analytics, helping colleagues understand reach, engagement and audience response
  • Administration, enquiries and coordination - Provide administrative and coordination support for communications and engagement activity, including occasional first-line support for Innovation Connect enquiries, signposting or escalating requests where appropriate, and helping to keep activity on track against agreed timescales and budgets
