  • Support the care, learning and development of children aged 0–5 years
  • Assist with planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities
  • Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment
    Work positively as part of a team to meet children’s individual needs
  • Build warm, professional relationships with children, parents and colleagues
  • Follow nursery policies, safeguarding procedures and health & safety guidelines

Your training

  • Delivery to be completed on site and off the job training either at Barnsley College or your place of work
  • Student to complete an Early Years Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship
