As an Early Years Educator Apprentice, you will:

  • Support children aged 3 to 5 in their learning, development and well-being within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Help create a safe, stimulating, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging activities that support children's development across all areas of learning
  • Encourage children's communication, language, social and emotional development through meaningful interactions and play-based learning
  • Observe, assess and record children's progress under the guidance of experienced practitioners and teachers
  • Support children in developing independence, confidence, resilience and positive behaviour
  • Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
  • Assist in preparing learning resources and maintaining an organised learning environment
  • Support children with additional needs to ensure they are fully included in all activities
  • Uphold safeguarding, health and safety policies and procedures at all times
  • Contribute to the school's Catholic ethos and values through kindness, respect and inclusion
  • Take part in training, mentoring and professional development opportunities throughout the apprenticeship

Your training

  • The successful candidate will obtain a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Standard qualification
  • Each apprentice will have their own dedicated tutor who will conduct monthly remote tutorials and reviews, providing continuous support throughout the apprenticeship programme.
  • Depending on the apprentice's needs, the frequency of these sessions may vary
