Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality care and activities for children which recognise both individual and group requirements
  • Work alongside parents and other family members and make them feel welcome
  • To commit to continuous professional development opportunities as deemed necessary.
  • Monitor, identify and evaluate areas of improvement
  • Deliver childcare in a way that meets parents’ needs and work in partnership with them providing high levels of customer care at all times
  • Interact and support children of all age groups as required
  • Ensure the highest standard of child safety is always paramount within the nursery
  • Complete relevant paperwork associated with the children and nursery requirements · Nappy changing
  • Supporting mealtimes
  • Outdoor play
  • Planning of activities and care
  • Setting up and clearing away activities
  • Child observations
  • Some cleaning duties will also be involved

Your training

Apprentices will be allocated a Trainer Assessor and training will be
planned and delivered in conjunction with the employer to meet the
individual needs of the apprentice.
The apprentice will spend 20% of their working hours in off the job
activities and training.
On the job and off the job training will be delivered in the
workplace.

Where it leads

Possible progression on to Level 3 Early Years Educator
Apprenticeship and/or a permanent position within the company.

Tiny World Day Nurseries is a family run group of nurseries located in the Nottingham and Mansfield areas which provide OFSTED registered and inspected childcare for babies and children aged from 6 weeks to 11 years old.
