Day to day tasks will include:
- Assist in the assembly and fitting of mechanical components and machinery
- Learning to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical diagrams and assembly instructions
- Use a variety of hand tools, power tools and precision measuring equipment safely and accurately
- Carry out routine maintenance, inspections and fault-finding on mechanical equipment
- Supporting the instillation and commissioning of machinery at customer sites where required
- Ensure all work complied with health and safety regulations and company quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Work closely with skilled fitters, fabricators and engineers to complete projects on time
- Record work completed and contribute to continuous improvement activities
Your training
- This is a Level 3 Fitter apprenticeship, delivered over a 33 month period
- The apprentice will attend the training centre, In-Comm Training Services in Aldridge WS9 8UG, 2.5 days a week for the first 20 months. Please ensure you are able to travel to this address as well as to the company address

- Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there will be a full-time position available within the business
