All General Yard Duties plus:

  • Providing the highest standard of daily horse care, including feeding, grooming, mucking out and turning out
  • Confidently handling horses before and after hydrotherapy treatments, including racehorses, competition horses
  • Assisting with water treadmill and equine spa sessions under supervision
  • Preparing horses for rehabilitation treatments
  • Monitoring horse health and wellbeing and reporting any concerns
  • Keeping the yard, stables and rehabilitation facilities clean, organised and safe
  • Working closely with our experienced team while developing your practical equine knowledge
  • This is a Non-Ridden Pathway 

Your training

Senior Equine Groom Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:

  • All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours
    Your day-to-day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach
  • If you have not achieved your maths and/or English GCSEs to grade 4 or above, Haddon Training will support you in achieving this with Functional Skills

  • Run by trained equine osteopath, Natasha Halliday, the centre offers a bespoke programme for every horse ensuring each horse’s individual needs receive the required attention.
    The Equine hydrotherapy and rehab centre was established at Marston Stud in 2021 to provide top class care for all disciplines within the equine community.
