The successful candidate will be put through their learning modules to the highest standard with lots of opportunity to gain experience and training on and off the yard at competitions.

General yard duties to include:

  • Mucking out
  • Turning out/bringing in
  • Feeding/hay/water
  • Tacking up
  • Tack cleaning
  • Hacking for right candidate

You must have experience and ideally have looked after your own horse.

There is the possibility to bring your own horse for the right candidate.

Your training

You will be working towards achieving your Level 2 Equine Groom apprenticeship.

You will also complete your Level 1 or 2 maths and/or English Functional Skills qualifications if required.

All training will be provided at the employers address with the employer and Haddon training.

Where it leads

  • Possibility of progressing to the Level 3 Senior Equine Groom apprenticeship on completion of Level 2

About Hollie Field Eventing

A New Zealand International event rider. We are currently working towards building a team of horses, owners and sponsors to represent New Zealand.
