The Finance Apprentice will support the Porsche Retail Group Finance team, gaining broad exposure to the financial operations of a leading automotive retail business. The role will involve regular interaction with our 7 Porsche Centres, Head Office functions and key stakeholders across the organisation.
Whilst developing the knowledge and skills required to complete their apprenticeship programme, the successful candidate will play an important role within the Finance team, taking ownership of assigned tasks and contributing to both individual and team objectives. The role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of finance disciplines, providing a strong foundation for a future career in finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operation of the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger functions
- Assist with the maintenance and reconciliation of Porsche Retail Group bank accounts
- Process and reconcile daily cash sheets from Porsche Centres
- Prepare and post journals as part of the monthly accounting cycle
- Support the preparation and submission of statistical and regulatory returns
- Assist with the preparation of P11D, PSA and Corporation Tax information
- Support the production of monthly management accounts and month-end reporting activities
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures
- Liaise with colleagues across the business to resolve finance-related queries
- Provide administrative and analytical support to the Finance Managers and wider Finance team as required
- Undertake other ad hoc duties and projects to support the Finance function and wider business objectives
