- Use Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
- Adapt existing designs and templates for a wide array of uses
- Follow a brief to create new designs for a wide array of uses
- Create and prepare print ready files
- Understand the design to print process
- Understand audiences and how to adapt designs for the target market
- Understand brand guidelines and how to follow them
- Create audio visual assets for social media and digital campaigns
- Research competitors and current design trends and styles
- Write basic marketing copy
You will also be learning how to do this:
- Engage and respond with audiences through social media, adapting content to respond to evolving circumstances
- Monitor user experience to ensure content is focused on maximising engagement
- Analyse the differences between audiences using audience segmentation techniques and data
- Use lessons learned to evaluate the success of the content and identify areas for improvement for future campaigns
- Use continuing professional development planning to support own current and future training and development needs
- Operate effectively within the production workflow to meet production timelines
Your training
An apprenticeship for Content Creator includes regular training with a trainer from Havant and South Downs College which will take place in the workplace, who will meet with you around once a month.
At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
Where it leads
There may be the opportunity to develop into a permanant role after successful completion of the apprenticeship.
About The Guildhall Trust
The Guildhall Trust (GHT) has established an excellent reputation as one of the South of England’s leading cultural organisations through its flagship venue, Portsmouth Guildhall and its sister venue The White Rock Theatre, Hastings.
Portsmouth Guildhall is a Concert Hall and conferencing centre, which hosts a world class programme of music, comedy, dance, drama and family shows, conferences, meetings and events. The Trust has developed an extensive learning and participation programme and produces and promotes its own events, including Dance Live!, Portsmouth Comic Con and Summer Concerts in the Square.
The White Rock Theatre in Hastings is a large scale, 1055 seat venue, with a large 250 capacity studio. It provides a mixed programme of music, comedy, musicals, pantomime and entertainment. Like the Guildhall, it also has a strong conferencing and meetings offer as well as a successful programme of learning and participation.
You will create assets for both of these venues.
