Day-to-day jobs include:

  • Maintain the aesthetic of the salon
  • Washing hair
  • Assisting stylists
  • Front of house duties

Your training

  • Training will take place at Nescot College, in person, once per week (on a Monday)

Where it leads

  • After completing a hairdressing apprenticeship, the typical career progression moves from a junior/apprentice role to a fully qualified stylist, with opportunities to specialise, manage, or work independently
  • Most apprentices are offered full-time positions at their training salons, with many aiming to become senior stylists within a few years
