Duties will include:

  • Assist with Health & Safety / Environmental day to day site visits
  • Assist with Health & Safety Audits
  • Attend Health & Safety meetings and take notes
  • Monitor induction and book drug and alcohol screening
  • Ensure Permit to Operate plant are completed where applicable
  • Check and monitor waste licenses for operators and receiving organisations
  • Monitor electricity, water and fuel use
  • Check plant certificates. Issue reminders for upcoming re-examination to subcontractors
  • COSHH Risk assessments, ensuring that all Operatives have signed onto assessment where applicable
  • Run management reports
  • Check and maintain site notice boards
  • Where there is an accident, support to be given to the Health & Safety Manager to investigate and obtain on site information and relevant documentation
  • General HSQE admin/filing duties

Your training

Safety, Health and Environment Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:

  • You will be enrolled onto the apprenticeship and will complete your learning via a mix of online sessions, classroom sessions and independent study
  • You will be provided with protected study time to meet the requirements of the off-the-job training

Things to consider

Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle due to the location of our projects. Due to the project requirement, the Client requires candidates to live in the local area. The ‘local area’ is defined as any location falling within the boundary of Oxfordshire, plus a perimeter area of 10 miles into the counties that border Oxfordshire.
