As an Apprentice Care Worker, you will support individuals with their daily routines, promote their independence and wellbeing, and provide compassionate, person-centred care in line with their individual needs and care plans. Due to requirements of the role, this job requires a full UK driving licence with your own vehicle.

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, respectful, dependable and willing to learn. Previous care experience is not essential, as we are committed to supporting the right person through their apprenticeship.

If you are passionate about making a positive difference in people's lives and would like to build a meaningful career in care, we would love to hear from you.

As an Apprentice Care Worker at Ablecross Care Services, you will become part of a friendly and supportive care team dedicated to helping people live safely, independently and with dignity in their own homes.

Working alongside experienced Care Workers, Field Care Supervisors and the wider management team, you will learn through a combination of hands-on experience, training and guidance. Every day will be different, giving you the opportunity to build your confidence while developing practical skills in adult social care.

You will gain experience supporting clients with their daily routines, personal care, medication, nutrition, mobility and well-being, always following individual care plans and promoting independence wherever possible.

You will also learn how to communicate effectively with clients, families and colleagues, maintain accurate care records, recognise and report concerns, and understand the importance of safeguarding, confidentiality and person-centred care.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you will be supported by experienced colleagues who will help you develop professionally and work towards a recognised qualification in care.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine difference in people's lives while building a rewarding and long-term career in the care sector.

  • Provide compassionate, person-centred care and support to clients in their own homes.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, dressing, nutrition and mobility.
  • Support clients to maintain their independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing.
  • Follow individual care plans, company policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families and colleagues, reporting any concerns or changes in a client’s well-being.
