- Undertake a structured Housing & Property Management Assistant Apprenticeship programme and complete all required learning, training activities and assessments.
- Provide administrative support to the Housing Management team, maintaining accurate records and updating housing management systems.
- Assist with the creation and sustainment of successful tenancies, supporting a range of housing management activities.
- Respond to customer enquiries, complaints and service requests, delivering a professional and customer-focused service.
- Support customer engagement activities, including surveys, consultations and feedback exercises to help improve services.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with housing legislation, Council policies, data protection requirements and regulatory standards.
- Develop knowledge of housing management functions including lettings, allocations, tenancy sustainment, homelessness prevention, repairs, income collection and community engagement.
- Support vulnerable customers by signposting or referring them to appropriate internal services and partner agencies under supervision.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives through data analysis, feedback gathering and performance monitoring activities.
- Work in accordance with the Council's equality, diversity, safeguarding, customer care and health and safety policies.
Where it leads
It is expected that the apprentice would aim to progress to an officer role in neighbour management or housing needs assessments. It is hoped that the apprentice would want to progress to a level 3 CIH accredited course as part of their career progression.
