  • Serving customers and patients professionally and courteously
  • Receiving and processing prescriptions
  • Supporting the preparation and dispensing of medicines
  • Labelling and assembling prescription items accurately
  • Ordering, receiving and storing medicines and stock
  • Checking stock levels and expiry dates
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised pharmacy
  • Handling customer enquiries and signposting appropriately
  • Supporting the pharmacy team with general administrative duties
  • Following pharmacy procedures, confidentiality and health & safety requirements
  • Working towards your Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant qualification while gaining valuable on-the-job experience

Your training

100% remote delivery – all college-based learning and tutorials are completed online, allowing you to gain your qualification while working in the pharmacy.

Where it leads

On successful completion, you can progress within community or hospital pharmacy, with opportunities to develop your skills and experience. You may also be able to progress onto a Level 3 Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship, subject to the employer and entry requirements.
