About the role:

As a Laboratory Technician Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day work of the laboratory, assisting with testing, preparing samples and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. You will be trained and supported throughout the apprenticeship.

Key duties include:

  • Assisting with laboratory tests and experiments under supervision
  • Preparing samples, materials and equipment for testing
  • Accurately recording results and maintaining laboratory records
  • Cleaning, maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment
  • Following health & safety procedures and quality standards
  • Working as part of a team to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy

Apprenticeship details:

  • Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship
  • Combination of on‑the‑job training and off‑the‑job learning
  • Full training and support provided
  • No previous laboratory experience required

What we’re looking for:

  • An interest in science and laboratory work
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions
  • Basic IT skills
  • GCSEs (or predicted grades), particularly Maths and Science, are desirable but not essential
