  • Undertaking day to day jobs for maintaining a salon
  • Gaining valuable on the job learning from colleagues and peers
  • Greeting clients, taking bookings and managing appointments

Your training

  • You will undertake training at least one day a week in your salon with a qualified hairdressing tutor and assessor
  • You will be working towards completing a Level 2 Diploma for Hair Professionals - Hairdressing qualification
  • Functional Skills in maths and English, if required

  • There are many employment opportunities and career progression routes for a qualified hairdresser
  • You may wish to continue working in your chosen salon, widening your experience
  • You could use your qualification to open your own salon. You could even take this qualification abroad with you, working in a salon abroad or on cruise ships
  • There are many options and career progression will be widely discussed with you during your apprenticeship
