Successful candidates will be trained in the following:
- Understanding of technical engineering drawings used for manufacturing
- Following job cards, procedures and instructions from the team leader
- Understanding the uses of various cutting tools
- Setting of various Mill/Turn CNC machines
- Setting of tool offsets and understanding wear offsets on CNC Machines
- Submitting of first-off parts to inspection
- Use of inspection equipment including Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges etc.
- Measuring of component parts as they are produced
Applicants should have:
- An excellent attitude in their work ethics
- Have good attention to detail
- Be able to work on your own initiative as well as being part of a team
- Keeping a clean and safe working area and understanding all aspects of Health and Safety within the workshop
- Applicants must also be punctual, reliable and have a mature and professional outlook

Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:
- City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 Diploma in Machining (Knowledge)
- City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Competence)
- Training at Hill Engineering, Orpington
- Day Release - Midkent College
