Key Responsibilities:
- Provide care and learning opportunities for children, promoting their communication and language, physical, social and emotional development.
- Help to plan and deliver engaging learning experiences and activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, encouraging children’s development, creativity and curiosity.
- Support practitioners in observing and assessing children’s learning and development, recording progress, and maintaining accurate learning and development records.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children, following the nursery’s safeguarding, health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
- Work closely with colleagues, learning from experienced practitioners and contributing to a positive learning environment and collaborative team working.
- Build secure relationships with parents and carers, offering support and regular feedback on children's progress and well-being.
Your training
Training will consist of 4 days a week in the work setting and one day release to college at our Bromsgrove Campus.
Where it leads
There may be employment opportunities within the setting after sucessful completion of the apprenticeship if appropriate vacancies arise.
About Little Miss Muffet's Day Nursery
At Little Miss Muffet’s we create a happy, safe and stimulating environment in which each child is cared for
and valued. Every child is encouraged to grow and develop as an individual through a diverse range of play
and learning experiences. We will provide opportunities and activities where children will be encouraged
to explore and investigate in order to develop both their physical and cognitive skills in line with the Early
Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory guidelines. We cater for each child’s individual needs by working in
partnership with parents / carers and other professional outside agencies to ensure the welfare of all our
children and families.
Things to consider
A full DBS will be required.
Apprenticeships include time away from working in the setting to complete specialist training in college. You will study to gain professional knowledge and skills on a day release basis.
