  • Work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils within the school
  • Promote pupils' independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion
  • Provide support to pupils 1:1, or in groups, to help them access the curriculum, participate in learning, and experience a sense of achievement
  • Offer interventions with a group of targeted children to achieve their learning potential
  • Carry out tasks relating to children’s learning and their welfare
  • Be committed to the safeguarding of children and equal opportunities

Your training

  • Teaching Assistant Level 3
  • You will attend online sessions and be required to produce written work
  • Be observed during your real work activities
  • Attend regular reviews with your training provider and supervisor

Where it leads

On completion of this apprenticeship, there may be an opportunity to gain a permanent position and further development within the school.
