Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the inspection, examination, testing, maintenance, and repair of lifting equipment
  • Support experienced technicians with LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) thorough examinations and safety inspections
  • Learn to identify faults, defects, and safety concerns and assist with recommending appropriate corrective actions
  • Carry out basic mechanical repairs, adjustments, modifications, and component replacements under supervision
  • Assist with the installation, assembly, and commissioning of lifting equipment and associated components
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and statutory requirements
  • Complete accurate inspection reports, service records, and technical documentation
  • Support the preparation of equipment inspection certificates and customer documentation
  • Assist in determining when equipment requires repair, removal from service, or decommissioning due to safety concerns or non-compliance
  • Provide professional support and technical information to customers when required
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to a high standard.
  • Follow all health and safety requirements and contribute to a positive safety culture
