  • Setting/programming of machinery/equipment
  • Productive running of machinery/equipment
  • Meeting standards of quality/quality procedures
  • Achieving throughout/scheduling requirements
  • Ensuring equipment/work area is safe, clean and tidy
  • Assist in the development of equipment and process of ongoing improvement
  • Ensuring good communication and teamwork
  • Follow company policies and guidelines
  • To read and understand all work instructions, drawings and inspection reports

Your training

An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage, gain valuable work experience and industry-specific competence. You will be expected to work towards machining technician Level 3, with support from your employer and Learning Unlimited.

Direct Engineering have an excellent manufacturing facility offering a specialised Fabrication Welding, Machining and Installation Service. Their experienced team of engineers work closely with customers to meet and exceed their exact requirements.
