Purpose of Job

  • To provide a comprehensive range of administration and reception duties across Dr I M Raja & Partner and Frizinghall Medical Centre

Location of Job

The successful candidates will be required to work across both locations:

  • Dr I M Raja & Partner 392 Little Horton Lane, Bradford, West Yorkshire, BD5 0NX
  • Frizinghall Medical Centre 278 Keighley Road, Bradford, West Yorkshire, BD9 4LH
  • Travel between sites will be required as part of the role

We serve patients across the Bradford area through our two practice locations at Little Horton Lane Medical Centre (BD5) and Frizinghall Medical Centre (BD9). The successful apprentice will gain experience supporting patients, clinicians and administrative teams across both sites, developing a broad understanding of NHS General Practice operations.

Person Specification

“Forward thinking” team player with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and fluent I.T. user would be most suited to this position.  Essentially, must have excellent customer service skills, be calm under pressure, and ability to multitask and prioritise workload.  

The NHS environment is demanding and constantly changing, and individuals who can embrace and manage multiple changes would be suited to this position.  Discretion and Confidentiality are essential qualities for this post.  

Knowledge of READ codes or the System One computer system is desired but not essential.

Your training

  • An apprenticeship includes regular training with Bradford College
  • Off-the-job training will follow the time allocations outlined in the Occupational Standard

Dr I.M. Raja & Partner and Frizinghall Medical Centre are established NHS primary care providers serving diverse communities across Bradford.

This apprenticeship is ideal for someone who is organised, professional, compassionate, and interested in building a career within the healthcare sector. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced clinical and administrative teams, developing the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to thrive in a modern NHS setting.
