- Support children's learning through play, creativity, and outdoor exploration
- Build warm, caring relationships with children and their families
- Assist with daily routines, including healthy meals, naps, and personal care
- Help plan and deliver fun, engaging indoor and outdoor activities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for all children
- Follow safeguarding procedures and nursery policies at all times
- Communicate positively with parents, colleagues, and visitors
Your training
Training will take place entirely on-site at the nursery, delivered during regular working hours through a structured blend of practical workplace learning and dedicated study time.

Apprentice → Deputy Room Leader → Room Leader → Relief Deputy Manager → Deputy Manager → Nursery Manager.

The first step into the wonderful childcare industry could be an Early Years Apprenticeship. This offers you the chance to gain a nationally recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification as well as providing you with hands on experience.
