No two days at Tiny Adventurers are the same!

You’ll become part of our small, nurturing team, learning alongside experienced childcare professionals while gaining hands-on experience with children aged 0-5.

Your typical week will include:

  • Supporting children with child-led, outdoor learning and exploration
  • Getting involved in nature activities, gardening, allotment visits, messy play, creative activities and adventures
  • Sharing books, visiting the local library and encouraging a love of stories and learning
  •  Supporting children's play, development and individual interests
  •  Helping with meals, snacks and promoting healthy eating
  •  Supporting children with sleep and rest routines
  •  Helping maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment
  •  Supporting children's personal care and developing independence
  •  Learning how we observe, record and support children's development
  • Building warm, respectful relationships with children and their families
  • Developing your understanding of safeguarding, the EYFS and child safety

Your training

You will study online through Cambridge Regional College alongside your practical learning at Tiny Adventurers. You’ll receive full support throughout your apprenticeship, with time to develop your knowledge, skills and confidence.

Your working days will be Tuesday–Thursday, 7:30am–5:30pm, based in Buckden, Cambridgeshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves children, enjoys being outdoors and wants to build a rewarding career in Early Years. You don’t need to know everything when you start, we’re here to help you learn and grow.

After 18 months you will have a level 2 in childcare with the opportunity to be level 3.

Where it leads

They can continue to become level 3 trained, go into a childcare setting, or become a childminder.
