The position would involve all the usual yard duties including:

  • Mucking out, sweeping yard
  • Turning out and bringing in
  • Feeding
  • Filling hay nets and water buckets
  • Putting horses on and off the horse walker
  • Tacking up and untacking
  • Responsibilities involving the supporting of the running and management of the yard and dealing with clients
  • Potential of riding for the right candidate

Your training

Senior Equine Groom Level 3.

Training will be conducted at the employer's premises, supported by the employer, and delivered by Haddon Training.

Where it leads

Possibility of a full-time job on completion for the right candidate.

She competes and produces horses up to advanced level as well as running the livery yard offering a wealth of experience looking after and caring for horses, ensuring each horse is settled and happy at all times. Ponds Equestrian has fantastic facilities and offers a variety of livery options, for those who want to enjoy the fantastic hacking and care the yard has to offer, to those who want some assistance in achieving their competition goals, wether it be to complete an event or to be competitive at the higher levels.

Things to consider

There is no accommodation available with this position and no access by public transport so please make sure you can get yourself to and from the location daily before applying. There is no livery for own horse available.
