- Preparing and organising financial documents ready for processing, checking information for accuracy and resolving any discrepancies.
- Maintaining accounting records for a number of companies, including processing sales and purchase ledger transactions and preparing final accounts.
- Recording corrections, adjustments, voids and cancellations accurately within the accounting system.
- Carrying out bank reconciliations and helping to ensure financial records are complete and up to date.
- Reviewing and submitting of VAT returns.
- Preparing management accounting information and reports.
- Supporting with the preparation and processing of payroll.
- Managing and prioritising your daily workload to meet deadlines.
- Communicating professionally with colleagues, clients and other contacts by telephone and email.
- Welcoming visitors and providing general administrative and office support when required.
Your training
Training will take place weekly, either face to face at FAR Accountancy Training, Tower House in Askham Bryan or Online-live and will include some self-study assignment work as well.
Where it leads
Career progression for the successful apprentice could include progressing to a Level 7 apprenticeship. The employer is committed to supporting the right candidate throughout their learning, professional development and longer-term career journey.
