Event Project Management:

  • Support the planning and delivery of Chamber events from initial concept through to completion.
  • Assist with creating and maintaining project plans, timelines and action trackers.
  • Monitor project progress and help ensure deadlines are met.
  • Support event budgets and monitor expenditure where appropriate.
  • Assist with post-event evaluation and reporting.

Event Delivery:

  • Support the delivery of conferences, exhibitions, awards, training courses and other events.
  • Liaise with venues, exhibitors, sponsors, suppliers and speakers.
  • Prepare event documentation, schedules and operational plans.
  • Coordinate event logistics.
  • Assist with venue setup and on-the-day event delivery.
  • Support health and safety planning and risk assessments.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build positive relationships with members, partners and suppliers.
  • Respond professionally to enquiries.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Administration:

Working alongside the Operations Coordinator to:

  • Maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Update project trackers and databases.
  • Maintain accurate event records.

Your training

The programme is delivered through ARU's Chelmsford campus using a blended learning approach. This combines:

  • In-person teaching.
  • Online and distance learning.
  • Self-directed study.
  • Practical learning in the workplace.

You will not be expected to travel to Chelmsford every week.

Teaching is delivered in short study blocks throughout the year, rather than on a weekly day-release basis. As a guide, ARU advises:

  • Year 1: approximately 16 days of on-campus teaching.
  • Year 2: approximately 16 days.
  • Year 3: approximately 9 days.
  • End Point Assessment period: no scheduled teaching days.
