  • Welcoming and gowning guests and offering refreshments.
    Preparing guests and assisting stylists throughout appointments.
  • Shampooing, applying hair and scalp treatments and, as training progresses, applying toners under supervision.
  • Rough drying and developing practical styling skills.
  • Delivering Aveda rituals, including Sensory Journeys, hand massages and head, neck and shoulder rituals.
  • Cleaning and sanitising workstations, tools and equipment between guests.
  • Keeping the salon clean, organised and presentable throughout the day.
  • Managing laundry and maintaining a supply of clean towels and gowns.
  • Organising, cleaning and replenishing the dispensary and kitchen areas.
  • Attending in-house training and practising technical hairdressing skills as part of their ongoing development.

Your training

The apprentice will attend college one day per week to complete the theory and practical elements of their Level 2 Hair Professional qualification.

Alongside their college training, they will receive a dedicated ttwo-hour one-to-one training session each week within the Fresh Lifestyle salon, providing additional practical coaching and development with an experienced member of the team.

The remainder of their working week will involve hands-on learning and opportunities within the context of their salon duties.
