Key responsibilities will be:

  • The day-to-day reptile and invert section 
  • Observational note taking
  • Assisting with preparing diets
  • Providing enrichment and assisting with reptile training
  • Conducting public talks and guest experience
  • Maintaining exhibits and other areas

Your training

  • Working towards a Keeper and aquarist (Level 3) apprenticeship standard 
  • All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours 

Your day-to-day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.

Where it leads

  • Possibility of further employment after completion of the apprenticeship for the right candidate.
