Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Duties will include:
- Supporting recruitment activities, including advertising vacancies and responding to candidate enquiries
- Contacting applicants and arranging telephone, Microsoft Teams and face-to-face interviews
- Preparing interview documents and assisting with candidate communication
- Supporting pre-employment checks, including references, DBS applications and right-to-work documentation
- Helping successful candidates through the onboarding process
- Preparing induction information and helping to coordinate training dates
- Updating recruitment trackers, databases and internal systems accurately
- Maintaining organised and confidential electronic and paper records
- Answering telephone calls and responding to emails professionally
- Meeting and greeting candidates, visitors and new employees
- Preparing letters, forms, emails and other correspondence
- Supporting recruitment events, job fairs and community engagement activities
- Assisting with general office duties and the day-to-day running of the Doncaster branch
- Providing administrative support to the line manager and wider team
- Attending team meetings and taking notes or preparing documents when required
- Carrying out other appropriate administrative duties requested by the line manager
The apprentice will learn how recruitment and onboarding operate within a regulated care organisation. They will be supported to develop confidence, organisation, communication, customer-service and administrative skills while working as part of a friendly and growing team.
The ideal Candidate will have:
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- A friendly, polite and professional manner
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to enter information accurately
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook and Excel
- Confidence using computers and a willingness to learn new systems
- Ability to manage different tasks and follow instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Respect for confidentiality when handling personal information
- A helpful and positive approach when speaking with candidates, employees and visitors
- Reliability, punctuality and a willingness to learn
- Confidence asking questions and seeking support when unsure
- An interest in recruitment, administration and working within the care sector
- Previous recruitment, administration or care experience is not essential, as full training and support will be provided
Your training
Training will be at Doncaster College where you will access a wide range of facilities on offer.
Day release: You will undertake The Level 2 Administration assistant apprenticeship standard.

You will undertake Functional Skills for English and/or Maths if needed.
You will undertake both on and off the job training by a team of industry-qualified professionals to give you the best skills, knowledge, and experience.
Where it leads
Successful completion of the apprenticeship could lead to a higher-level apprenticeship or full-time employment for the right candidate. Several opportunities for career progression on completion.

You must be able to travel to and from work and college.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
