  • Assemble evacuation chairs and related products following company procedures and quality standards.
  • Learn to safely use a range of hand tools, equipment and assembly techniques.
  • Work alongside experienced colleagues to build practical engineering and manufacturing skills.
  • Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet the required standard before dispatch.
  • Receive, check and store deliveries while learning effective stock control procedures.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe and organised work area using 6S principles.
  • Follow health and safety procedures and ISO quality standards at all times.
  • Work as part of the assembly team to meet daily production targets and customer requirements.
  • Report stock shortages, quality concerns or production issues to your supervisor.
  • Complete a Level 2 Engineering Operative apprenticeship while earning and developing valuable workplace skills.

Your training

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Where it leads

Successful completion of the apprenticeship could lead to a permanent CNC Operator position. With further experience and training, you'll have opportunities to progress into roles such as CNC Programmer, CNC Setter/Operator, Production Engineer or Manufacturing Supervisor, building a long-term career in engineering.
