Key Responsibilities:
- Assist experienced bricklayers with day-to-day construction work
- Learn to lay bricks, blocks and other masonry materials
- Prepare and mix mortar and other materials
- Measure and mark out work areas accurately
- Learn how to read and understand basic construction drawings
- Keep tools, equipment and work areas clean and organised
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times
- Work as part of a team to complete projects to a high standard
- Attend college or training sessions as required as part of the apprenticeship
- Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the site team
Your training
- Bricklayer Level 2
- You will attend East Durham College 1-day per week for training
