Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist experienced bricklayers with day-to-day construction work
  • Learn to lay bricks, blocks and other masonry materials
  • Prepare and mix mortar and other materials
  • Measure and mark out work areas accurately
  • Learn how to read and understand basic construction drawings
  • Keep tools, equipment and work areas clean and organised
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times
  • Work as part of a team to complete projects to a high standard
  • Attend college or training sessions as required as part of the apprenticeship
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the site team

Your training

  • Bricklayer Level 2
  • You will attend East Durham College 1-day per week for training
