  • Assist with maintenance repairs and installation of electrical systems on a full range of Council properties
  • Assist with repairs and maintenance on a full range of electrical systems, including fire alarms, call systems etc.
  • Assist with the installation of new and refurbished electrical systems using a full range of installation materials and techniques.
  • Assist with routine checking and testing of all types of electrical systems, including the location and repair of faults
  • Attend college, training providers and assessment sessions as required and actively work towards achieving the Installation and Maintenance Electrician Apprenticeship Standard

Your training

  • The training will be delivered by JTL in York on a block release basis

  • There may be opportunity to apply for a role within the Council, but this is not guaranteed
  • We believe that the experience you will gain throughout your apprenticeship will significantly enhance your ability to find employment inside or outside our organisation
