  • Meet and greet customers in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers.
  • Provide table-service to customers in our restaurant, following company service procedures.
  • Ensure allergy processes are followed in all stages of the service journey.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and restaurant area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
  • Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and providing recommendations.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service.

Your training

You will complete the Hospitality Team Member Level 2 (Food & Beverage) apprenticeship with HIT Training.

Your apprenticeship includes regular one‑to‑one sessions with a dedicated trainer or coach, workplace learning, and online study.

You will develop skills in customer service, food and beverage service, communication, teamwork, and working effectively in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

You will also receive on‑the‑job training in food hygiene, brand standards, equipment use, and health & safety procedures.

Functional Skills in English and Maths will be provided if required.

Where it leads

Upon successful completion of the Level 2 apprenticeship, clear internal career progression pathways are available. You can grow into roles such as:

  • Senior Team Member
  • Shift Supervisor / Assistant Manager
  • Department Manager
  • General Manager

About Country Village Inns LTD

We are a small 6 site, developing family of individual country inns. Combining exceptional food, refreshing drinks and a comfy night's stay. At Country Village Inns we want to give our country pubs back to their communities. We aim to make our pubs the social hub, employ local people, source local produce and raise the profile of the village.

No two days are the same, with our team members enjoying a number of different roles. Our Head Office works closely to support our teams in each site which in turn helps us remain involved in the day-to-day running of the pubs and hotels, whilst ensuring colleagues are happy.
